PROJECT OVERVIEW

DESCRIPTION


SQUIRMIN' VERMIN IS A CARTOONY THIRD-PERSON SHOOTER INSPIRED BY RATCHET AND CLANK, WHERE THE PLAYER TAKES ON THE ROLE OF "THE EXTERMINATOR" - SENT OUT TO GET RID OF A COLONY RAVAGED BY A VERMIN INFESTATION. THE GAMEPLAY IS A MIX BETWEEN HIGH-INTESITY SHOOTOUTS, CLOSE QUARTERS COMBAT AND TRAVERSAL PUZZLES.

I FULLY DESIGNED ONE OF THE LEVELS, AND SET UP ALL FUNCTIONALITY FOR IT VIA OUR VISUAL SCRIPTING EDITOR.
DUE TO SOME UNFORSEEN CIRCUMSTANCES, I ENDED UP DOING PERFORMANCE OPTIMISATIONS FOR TWO OUT OF THREE TOTAL LEVELS SINCE ONE OF MY COWORKERS WAS UNAVAILABLE.

PART FROM DESIGNING THE LEVEL, I WORKED ON BOTH GAMEPLAY BALANCING, ENEMY BALANCING AND FINDING AND IMPLEMENTING SOME OF THE SOUNDS IN THE GAME.
